Proper
planning for RES integration cannot be achieved
unless it is implemented at a regional level. The
main objective of the OptiRES project is to define
and apply an analytical methodology in order to
perform planning, design and evaluation of optimal
RES integration schemes at a regional level. To
this end, a number of computational algorithms,
software tools and geographical databases developed
by project partners will be used in order to evaluate
various development scenarios for RES- electricity
tecnologies and to develop action plans for one
region in Greece, one in Italy, one in France, one
in Spain and one in Portugal.
